Elemental Awakening Breathwork
What is Breathwork?
As the name implies breath work is literally working on the way in which you breathe. It is one of the cheapest, easily accessible and effective methods to improve your overall well being.
There are many types of modalities available today when it comes to breathwork. Some are very new and others thousands of years old that all demonstrate through various breathing patterns the power of breath.
You can use it to release emotions and blocked energy, eliminate or reduce feelings of anxiety and depression, reduce pain, increase athletic performance and metabolism and much much more.
Giovanni is a certified Wim Hof instructor and has been studying many different breathing modalities over the last several years which he shares in weekly classes, workshops and in the near future one on one breathwork coaching.
We hold Monthly Wim Hof Method Workshops that combine Breathing, Mindset, and Cold Exposure to help improve the immune system, reduce pain and inflammation, have a greater control over your mind and help people to become healthy strong and happy. Check our event calendar for the next workshop!
Join Us Every Tuesday Evening at 6:30pm or 8:00pm for Elemental Awakening Breathwork Class.
In this class we have taken some of the most powerful components of different modalities to create an experience that will bring you to a deeper connection with yourself, help to heal inner trauma, release emotions, expand awareness, increase intuition, enhance visualization to create the life of your dreams and leave feeling uplifted and at peace.
We combine intention setting, movement, breathwork, guided meditation, visualization, live and recorded music and group connection to create an experience like no other. You have to try it to understand how powerful it really is. No experience required. Just come with an open mind.
So you want to take an ice bath? If you’re thinking about it here is some info that should totally convince you!
We recommend taking the Wim Hof Fundamental course but it is not a mandatory prerequisite. A few cold showers should do. If you have heart issues or are pregnant please consult with your doctor before attending this class.
There are many ancient traditions that include cold exposure as a practice to elevate their health and well being. In addition to that there are other incredible reasons to commit to this practice:
Cold therapy (ice baths) are known to reduce inflammation and help promote healing to muscles and joints.
Cold therapy also helps to train the cardiovascular system, boost metabolism (lose weight), increase white blood cell count (boost immune system) and more.
Hormetic Stress, an acute stressor like an ice bath in small doses will actually make your body stronger.
It Can even alleviate depression in a fairly short amount of time. It does this by activating the sympathetic nervous system, sending blood to the brain and core, and reducing systemic inflammation, which is strongly linked to depression. It also floods the body with endorphins making you feel amazing!
Still not convinced?
How about better mental acuity and alertness to conquer your day?
Still need more info? How about this 22 page report from Doctor Rhonda Patrick?
This 20-page report explains how cold shock is a type of hormesis, which is a description of a type of stress that, in the right doses, is enough to shock the body and kick off adaptive processes and response mechanisms that are hardwired into our genes, and, once on, are able to create a resilience that actually exceeds what was needed to counter the initial stimuli.
Rhonda discusses how cold exposure increases norepinephrine up to 5-fold in the brain and what the temperature and duration needed to do this are, how norepinephrine has an effect on mood, vigilance, focus, and attention, how cold exposure increases cold shock proteins including one in the brain that repairs damaged synapses and in muscle prevents atrophy, how cold-induced norepinephrine lowers inflammation and pain by decreasing the levels of 3 inflammatory mediators, how chronic cold shock may increase immune cell numbers and particularly a type of immune cell that kills cancer cells, how cold exposure increases metabolic rate, the number of mitochondria, and the burning of fat, what the effects of different cold exposure temperatures and timing are on athletic performance, recovery time, and muscle mass, and the differences between various types of cold shock modalities, including cold water immersion and whole body cryotherapy.
Although regular exercise and healthy eating are major factors in maintaining a healthy weight, ice baths can help, if combined with a proper diet and exercise routine, to burn calries for hours after the exposure. Repeated cold exposure can help to reset the body’s metabolic rate and naturally increase the body’s metabolism for many hours after each session.
- Increases circulation and elimination of toxins from the blood and body
- Boosts metabolic rate after multiple treatments
- Resets the body’s natural metabolic level
- Naturally increases the body’s metabolism
Sports & Fitness
The benefits of cold exposure for athletic recovery have been seen by pro-athletes, weekend warriors, and competitors of all levels as an effective technique to alleviate inflammation after strenuous exercise and training. Cold therapy speeds recovery by inducing the natural anti-inflammatory effect of cold on muscles to elevate the body’s ability to recover and reduce post-workout fatigue.
- Reduced inflammation, swelling and pain
- Enhanced energy and endorphin release
- Improved muscle and motor unit activation
- Greater testosterone levels in men
Beauty & Anti-Aging
Cold Exposure is a safe and natural alternative to achieving anti-aging results without expensive surgical procedures. The benefits of cold therapy include tightened skin and stimulated collagen production. Cold therapy increases blood flow to the skin to help reduce toxins and rejuvenate the skin, including the reducing of visible cellulite.
- Improved collagen production which reduces visible signs of aging by helping to even skin tone and reduce cellulite & wrinkles.
- Reduces the damage of oxidative stress by increasing blood flow to the skin and removing unwanted toxins.
- Healthier complexion and the amelioration of skin conditions such as psoriasis, blemishes and acne.
Cold Exposure benefits individuals who are recovering from surgery where reduced inflammation and increased blood flow will assist in reducing recovery times. Consult your physician before beginning Cold Therapy and Ice Bath treatments.
- Improved post-surgery recovery- up to 40% reduction in recovery time
- Reduced pain & inflammation
- Natural pain relief due to analgesic effects of endorphins released
- Improved circulation to facilitate healing and removal of toxins
